SUPERIOR GOLF CLUB INTERNATIONAL

Playoff and Championship Series

Greetings Superior Members,

Welcome to the 2024 Superior Cup season.  At this time, we encourage you to visit the golf genius portal at https://sgci-superiorcup2024.golfgenius.com GGID: SUPERIOR2024 where you will find the pairings, tournament information, divisions/standings, and anything else related to our tournament season. This is also where the eventual results will be posted after every tournament.

Revisions/Additions for 2024 Season

The 3 divisions will remain the same and are as follows:

  • Class "A" (handicaps +/0-10.3) Players will tee off from White Tees.

  • Class "B" (handicaps 10.4-18.3) Players will tee off from White Tees.

  • Class "C" (handicaps 18.4-30) Players will tee off from White Tees.

  • Players will be locked into their respective divisions according to their current handicap at the start of the season’s first tournament.  Should the player fall outside the highest end of their division’s handicap at any time throughout the season, a handicap revision will be made to maintain the highest margin  (even if you’re actual handicap is higher) within your division.

  • This will keep the handicap controlled and the competition fair for the other players within their playing division.

  • Participating player’s most current handicap on the Friday before each tournament will be used.

  • In addition to each players Superior Cup points, we will be adding participation points after the completion of each tournament to encourage more sign ups.

Competitions/Tournaments

  • We will be adding this season the SGCI Player of the Year competition that will include players in all 3 divisions vying for the best player trophy.

  • We will also begin a 2 Man Team competition starting in January with pairings and rules to be announced.

  • As planned, a rematch with Kahel Golf club for the KaSup Cup with date and course to be announced.

  • All tournament scores will be posted in the GHIN system by Superior after completion of each tournament to maintain continuity of handicap index.

Best of luck everyone and have a great season,

The Superior Staff
